Furnaces
The furnace is the heart of any environmental comfort system. Today, many furnaces that were installed 15 or more years ago can be oversized by as much as 50% and are operating at efficiencies as low as 50%. Efficiencies of new equipment range from 80% to 96.1% A.F.U.E. With the rising costs of energy, now might be the time to consider a new high-efficiency heating system. When it's time to look for a new furnace, look to Howard Adams Heating, who has been installing quality heating systems since 1958. Expert installation is only part of the story. By partnering with premium manufacturers, we are able to offer furnaces that meet and exceed the industry standards for comfort, quality, efficiency, and design. Consequently, we can offer you a heating system that meets and exceeds your comfort, quality, efficiency, and trouble-free service that you expect. We feature an array of natural gas, LP, oil, and electric furnaces, as well as unit heaters, electric space heaters, and radiant-style heaters.

Heat Pumps
A heat pump is basically an air conditioner that can operate in reverse order on mild winter days. In the summer, an air conditioner absorbs the heat in the home or business and expels it to the outside. Heat exists in the winter air even when the temperature dips below zero. In the winter, a heat pump absorbs the heat in outside air and uses that heat to heat your home or business. When temperature conditions drop below the capabilities of the heat pump, auxiliary heat such as an electric heater, oil furnace, propane furnace, or natural gas furnace supplement the heat pump, helping you to remain warm and comfortable. Some of today's heat pumps offer a technology called Hybrid Heat and Perfect Heat/Perfect Humidity. There are several advantages to Perfect Heat/Perfect Humidity. Using variable speed indoor units, Puron heat pump outdoor units, and special thermostats, we can provide you with warmer supply air temperatures (up to 19 degrees warmer), better indoor air filtration and quality, and a cooler, dryer air for your home in the summer. Hybrid Heat gives you alternatives to just 1 heating fuel while saving you operating dollars.

Boilers & Hydronic Heating Systems
Hot water heat from a boiler or hot water heater is an extremely quiet, clean, and comfortable heat. Many older homes have used hot water or steam to condition their homes. Cast iron radiators, fin tube baseboards, and in-floor radiation are the most popular mediums of heat transfer to the home or business. Most homeowners with hydronic heat prefer to stay with a boiler when replacing their current system. Adding on air-conditioning is the only drawback to a hydronic system because a separate system including duct work must be added to achieve cooling. Today, some homeowners are choosing to add in-floor hydronic radiation to certain areas of their home such as bathrooms, bedrooms, and family rooms. This comfortable addition assures the homeowner that they will always be walking on warm, conditioned floors. Howard Adams Heating has been servicing, repairing, and installing hydronic heating systems since 1958.

Unit Heaters
Unit heaters, hanging heaters, or garage heaters, as they are commonly called, are fast and efficient units used to heat spaces such as garages, warehouses, and other non-residential spaces. Available in several different models, these heaters are ideal for heating spaces with ceiling heights from 9 to 20 feet. Most use natural gas or liquid propane for fuel, but smaller electric units are also available for smaller spaces.

Radiant Heaters
Radiant heaters work like the sun. The heater emits infrared rays that are absorbed by cool surfaces and objects directly beneath it. The surfaces warm up and release heat into the space, raising the ambient temperature. The benefits of infrared heat are: aesthetically pleasing, quick recovery, quiet, draft-free heating, and many design options.
