Indoor Air Quality (I.A.Q.) has a tremendous impact on your health. Americans-especially infants, the elderly and persons with chronic diseases spend up to 90% of their time indoors. Many indoor air pollutants are present and/or emitted in your residence. These are organic and inorganic compounds such as out-gases from carpet materials, cleaning agents, fabric preservatives, glues, paints, soluvents, deoderizers, as well as pet dander, bacteria, pollen, mold, viruses...the list goes on and on, and we are breathing them in like they are oxygen! Many of these particles are inhaled and lodge deeply into your respirtory tract and some very small particles could even remain lodged in your lungs for years.  

There are three step towards cleaner, healthier indoor air; identifying the source of the pollutant, ventilating, and air cleaning.

1.) Source - Eliminate the source of the pollutants. Examples of source elimination are: servicing combustion appliance regularly to reduce combustion emissions, using low emission paints, varnishes, and carpets, not smoking indoors, eliminating indoor pets, maintaining low humidity, and cleaning regularly to reduce dust mites.

2.) Ventilating - By exhausting or diluting of the pollutants, you again reduce the amount of contaminants from the air that you breathe. The process can be as simple as opening the windows and doors in your homes and turning on kitchen and bathroom fans. This is not
